Sisters, co-founders and best friends. Meet the dynamic duo – like-minded, driven, passionate, and brimming with vigour.
In 2008, we founded Beautiful Weddings as an online store, but our passion quickly led us to venture into styling ceremonies across SE Queensland. As the demand for our services soared, we expanded to include reception styling. By 2011, our vision had grown beyond our wildest dreams, and we proudly welcomed our first franchisee into the Beautiful Weddings network. It was just the beginning, as we went on to establish a total of 12 franchises throughout Australia.
In 2020, we made a strategic decision to focus our efforts on the Brisbane wedding market, fine-tuning our business model to better cater to our clients’ needs. As part of this evolution, we enhanced our services further by establishing a dedicated floristry team, offering both fresh and faux florals adding that perfect touch of elegance to every wedding.
As we celebrate our 18th year in business, we can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride and excitement. We are so very grateful for each and every one of our clients, as well as our invaluable venue partners and industry colleagues. Their unwavering support and trust have been instrumental in our journey, and we look forward to many more wedding dreams come true.
Nicole Ritchie
Meet Nicole, a visionary with a strong business background and a passion for creativity and innovation. Her journey as an entrepreneur began in the early 90’s when she launched “Ritzy Bitz”, a funky jewellery range that thrived at local craft markets.
In 1996, Nicole took her ingenuity to new heights with the founding of “Groovy Glass”, an exceptional sandblasted glassware collection that captivated customers throughout the gift and wedding industry. She introduced a unique personalised collection that earned her the prestigious ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Awards) accolades. In 2007, her offerings triumphed as dual ABIA winners for Bomboniere & Special Services in Queensland and remained finalists in every other state, in both categories, year after year. In 2010, Nicole sold Groovy Glass while concurrently running Beautiful Weddings during its early days.
Nicole’s love for all things sparkly and glamourous shines through in her craft, and nothing brings her more joy than designing the most enchanting weddings for couples. As our Head Buyer, she stays on top of the latest wedding trends, ensuring our collection is always curated with the finest and most sought-after items. If there’s something you desire that we don’t yet have, Nicole is your go-to person to make it happen.
Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavours, and when not immersed in creating dream weddings, Nicole spends quality time with hubby, Roger, and their family.
Justine Douglas
Justine brings a wealth of experience in production management, marketing and producing, which she has gained from her illustrious career in Film and Television. Her experience working on the production side of live television honed her ability to think quickly, maintain impeccable attention to detail, adeptly solve problems, and effectively lead and manage teams.
Her journey into the realm of marketing began in 1995 when she joined a dynamic film and television business consisting of 29 staff members. Embracing this new challenge, Justine embarked on a journey that took her across Australia, ASIA and the USA. During this time, she played a crucial role in marketing and facilitating the growth of the business, ultimately helping it expand to over 150 staff members with offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, London and Tokyo.
In 2008, an exciting opportunity presented itself when she joined forces with her sister, Nicole, to start their own venture. This decision coincided with the impending arrival of her second child. As time passed, both her family and the business flourished and grew together.
As part of her role, she takes immense pleasure in motivating and managing the BW team, forging strong connections with venue coordinators, and working closely with clients.
Outside of work, Justine cherishes her weekends spent with husband, Jeff, their two sporty teenagers and cavoodle, Maple.
Demi May
Head Florist
With a deep love for the beauty of fresh flowers, Demi’s floral career first blossomed in Townsville. It didn’t take long for her to discover that her true passion lay in designing breathtaking bouquets and immersive floral installations for weddings. Her dedication, artistry, and natural talent quickly became evident as she created unforgettable floral moments for her clients.
In 2021, Demi relocated to Brisbane and became an integral part of our team. Bringing both exceptional expertise and a refined creative eye, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and growth of Beautiful Wedding Blooms. As both our Head Florist and a driving creative force behind the brand, Demi is known for her ability to seamlessly blend fresh florals with our signature faux floral range, producing designs that are cohesive, elevated, and uniquely stunning.
Leading our talented floral team, Demi ensures every bouquet, installation, and detail is thoughtfully crafted to perfection. Her artistic vision, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for creating enchanting event experiences make her an invaluable part of our creative leadership. Demi’s love for flowers shines through in every design, transforming celebrations into truly unforgettable moments.
Megan
Account Manager
Meet Megan, a dedicated team member who has been with us since 2018. She began her journey with us as an Administration Assistant/Book-keeper, and from the very start, it was evident that she was the perfect fit for our fast-paced and sometimes chaotic work environment.
In the midst of our dynamic setting, Megan’s structured and organised approach keeps everything running smoothly. She is the mastermind behind all of our administration and financial matters, ensuring that everything is well-managed and accounted for. Her meticulous attention to detail and organisation have become the backbone of our operations.
One of Megan’s essential roles is running our Hire Division, where she skilfully manages the process of liaising with clients for collections and returns. Her professionalism and excellent communication skills make her a trusted point of contact for our clients, providing them with top notch service.
Megan’s versatility shines through as she occasionally joins our styling teams on location during busy periods. This hands-on approach allows her to experience the magic of creating stunning events firsthand, and her passion for the work we do truly shows. Megan’s dedication and adaptability for her role make her an irreplaceable asset to our team. We are fortunate to have her hard work and commitment helping elevate our business to new heights.

Anna is our dedicated Wedding Planner, joining the team with valuable experience from her previous role as a wedding co-ordinator at Victoria Park, undoubtedly one of Brisbane’s busiest wedding and event venues. With a calm, organised approach and a genuine passion for creating seamless celebrations, Anna brings a wealth of knowledge and fresh perspective to every couple’s planning journey.

With an eye for detail and a commitment to quality, Rosa assists in organizing and managing all the décor and styling components, ensuring everything is ready to create a flawlessly executed wedding day.

Assistant Florist & Stylist
Having joined us as work experience in mid-2024, Kate showed an exceptional interest in florals and styling. With a keen eye for detail and loving what we do, Kate thrives on the diversity of what the day-to-day operations bring. She started with us in February of 2025, and we have been thrilled with her growth.
Kate is an integral part of our styling and floristry team.

Our fabulous pack-up team which work like ninjas in the night ensuring that all of our delicate decor is packed up and returned to our warehouse, making sure that you as our client do not need to lift a finger on your special day.
