Wategos Beach sits directly below the iconic Byron Bay Lighthouse, the most eastern point of Australia and is a popular and picturesque beach spanning 600 metres. It can accommodate beach weddings at low and mid-tide, and also offers a lovely grassed area overlooking the beach for intimate ceremonies. Wategos Park sits just in front of Raes on Wategos and provides a larger grassed area with the beach in the background. Permits available through Cape Byron trust here.
Clarkes Beach is situated between Main Beach and The Pass. It’s north facing and provides a stunning beach area for your Byron Bay beach wedding. With a number of access points and nearby to the Byron Bay Beach Cafe it is a popular one for weddings.
Tallow Beach stretching south from Cosy Corner to Broken Head is a renowned fishing location and can be subject to windy conditions. Accessible via several car parks including Alcorn Street in Suffolk Park, off Clifford Street or Broken Head Road.
The Pass is a gap between Fisherman’s Lookout and the headland. A picturesque Byron Bay wedding location where you can tuck into the corner and have the rocks as your background.
