The wedding of Olivia and Cameron was a joyful explosion of color and happiness, perfectly reflecting their personalities and their love story. Nestled in the heart of Brisbane´s wilderness, Walkabout Creek set the stage for a wedding that was as warm and inviting as it was filled with love and laughter.

The Perfect Spot: Walkabout Creek

Imagine saying “I do” surrounded by the serene beauty of Walkabout Creek. This gorgeous spot, with its lush greenery, beautiful terrace and tranquil waters, was the perfect backdrop for Cameron and Olivia’s wedding. “We are local to the area so wanted something close to home that still had beautiful nature and greenery. We fell in love with the deck for the ceremony and loved the backdrop of trees. We loved that it was easily accessible by taxi/ Uber and close to the city for accommodation.”

Bursting with Colour: The Decor

From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by waves of colour. Bright, bold flowers adorned the ceremony space. Reds, oranges, and lush greenery popped against the rustic backdrop, creating a vibrant and whimsical atmosphere. The aisle carpet led the bride down to a wooden archway made of lush wildflowers where Cameron and Olivia would soon exchange their vows.

Tell us a bit about yourself how did you meet?

We are high school sweethearts and have been together for almost a decade.

Can you share your engagement story with us?

We had the most beautiful engagement on Moreton Island. We both love camping and being in nature. Cameron proposed at sunset.

A moment you will cherish from the day

Our reception was my favourite part of the day as all my favourite people were in the room and the fairy lights, candles, and beautiful florals gave it an intimate feel that I was obsessed with. The speeches were also my favourite part; however, they were quite emotional. My dad passed away only two months before the wedding, and he did a beautiful speech which was played at the wedding. We also got ‘legally’ married two months before as we knew my dad’s health was declining. We shared photos from the elopement in a slideshow on the day and it was so beautiful and special.

THE DRESS:

I knew I wanted a Made With Love dress when I came across their website. I was in love with every style they did. I actually found my dress second-hand on Marketplace and it fit almost perfectly. It felt like it was made for me as it was the exact style I was looking for.

Tell us about the flowers, did you have a specific idea in mind?

“The team at Beautiful Weddings created my dream flowers. I was obsessed with them. They took my inspo pictures from Pinterest and recreated them exactly how I pictured. They complemented the vibe of the wedding and my bridesmaids’ dresses so well.”
