Blackbird

Located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, Blackbird Weddings will impress your guests with stunning 180-degree views of the Brisbane River, from the Story Bridge down to the Kangaroo Point cliffs. It provides a stunning backdrop for your wedding ceremony and reception.

The reception tables provided by Blackbird are a lovely dark timber look with brushed gold edge. They provide a perfect palette to add table styling – centrepieces, charger plates, gold cutlery and luxury napkins. We do suggest you look at a linen upgrade for your bridal table, with our luxury range of paisley sequin, velvet or natural linens in a huge range of colours.  Team that with a backdrop frame, one that certainly doesn’t obscure the view and you have an elegantly styled and beautiful reception room.

The Marquee

Victoria Park Weddings

We love styling The Marquee at Victoria Park. It provides such a beautiful clean white palette to work with and allows so many options when it comes  to personalising your wedding day with colours, themes and how fabulous you want your wedding reception to look.

Our favourite centrepieces in this space are anything that is tall! Think gold square stands, clear acrylic stands, gold ornate pillar holders..the list goes on. With the stunning chandeliers overhead, you can really go to town on how you dress your guest tables and make a statement with your wedding table and dance floor.

Our lovely floral toppers can be tailored to your colour theme, and these colours and florals can then be followed through into your bridal table styling. We encourage lots of candles and votives to capture that romance and ambience throughout the space. If you are having your wedding table against the white wall, let us create a backdrop that will frame and enhance your bridal table. If it’s against the glass with views of the city, we have some awesome freestanding truss and frames that are built over your table. Team these with florals and greenery and you have that “wow” factor!

The Ceremony Arbour is a magestic location for your wedding ceremony. We suggest our long white chiffon drapes to soften the front of the structure, you can have them on all four sides if you love the idea of floating white chiffon. Add one of our floral trains or have hundreds of wisteria stems floating overhead. The options are endless and we are here to help you!

Talk to us about how you can create the wedding of your dreams at Victoria Park!

The Wedding and Honeymoon Show

How do you create glamour for your wedding reception? So many of our clients are looking for wedding styling ideas and in particular, luxurious and glamorous wedding themes. This is one question that we just LOVE to answer!

At the recent Wedding & Honeymoon Show, presented by Queensland Brides, we setup our gorgeous marquee wedding space with that exact brief in mind.

Luxury weddings have stunning table styling and we captured this with our gorgeous new crystal and glass candle holders – aren’t they divine? They were teamed with beautiful blooms from guru Jacqui M Floral Design. She filled our assorted clear vases with blooms to match the tall toppers and by adding a stack of floating candles in various sized vessels – voila! Magic created if we do say so ourselves!

We teamed the wedding styling table setup with champagne satin cloths, glass beaded chargers with custom menus, crystal stemware and gold cutlery. For the wedding table we continued with stunning fresh florals by Jacqui M, taper candle holders and floating candles and a super cute backdrop with a Mr & Mrs neon sign by Event Letters.

We were joined in the marquee by our great industry friends – Event Letters, In the Booth, G&M Event Group and Event Marquees. We make one hell of a formidable team! What do you think?

The Marquee at Victoria Park Golf Complex, Brisbane

When Silvia and Dennis shared their Pinterest board of wedding ideas with us, we squealed with excitement! True story!! We love it when our couples have a vision of a luxury wedding and come to us to help with executing every little detail.

The arbour at Victoria park is 3 metres wide and deep, and creates a grand stage with steps leading up. It really is the perfect ceremony venue and especially when we get to create a cascading wisteria ceiling in it! Over … stems of white silk wisteria strands were hung, we worked at our head height and when the wisteria was all in place, we sent our structure up to the top of the arbour ceiling. Adding in white chiffon curtains and a floral train at the front completed this transformation of the ceremony space.

Silvia asked that her first two rows of Tiffany chairs be dressed with white woven chiffon and we just love how it adds to the elegance. Adding the silk florals to the aisle chairs and rolling out our perfectly white carpet aisle runner set the scene for this divine couple to seal their marriage.

Inside the large Marquee room at Victoria Park, we had created their luxury wedding wonderland. Tall stands with floral toppers and floating candles adored the guest tables. For the wedding table, we suspended a truss system with florals, greenery and wisteria and the ever so cute “The Clan Tran” neon sign. The bridal table featured our gorgeous tulle rouched skirt and was teamed with loads of floating candles and florals along the front.

We love taking a clients vision and exceeding their expectations and we know from their response that we did that and more!

Pretty Pastels

Victoria Park Golf Complex, Brisbane

This colour palette makes us go all gooey inside. Soft divine florals with a mix of textures and variety by Jacqui M really set the mood here.  We used the simplicity of our white mesh circle arch to let the florals and the couple do the talking – and boy it makes you want to get married right here!!!

With our stunning models dressed by When Freddie Met Lilly and beautified by the lovely ladies at Bella Brides, all we needed was a handsome Groom. And in steps Dane. Dressed to perfection by When Freddie Met Lilly.

As well as our lovely ceremony arch setup, florist Jacqui M dressed the Victoria Park Courtyard arbour with this large and lush floral piece. Using the left corner gives your eye a chance to take in that feature, without it taking away from the stunning bridal bouquet.

The reception “table for two” was the final piece to this picture perfect puzzle, allowing us to capture the CBD lights in the background of the golf course. Soft blush pink velvet linens with crystal stemware, glass chargers and soft grey napkins look inviting teamed with those fabulous florals.

If you are keen to explore this palette for your wedding, get in touch with us and let us help you create your magical wedding!

Brisbane City Hall / Customs House

Our lovely couple Naomi and Ryan had first hand experienced our styling work at their sister’s wedding the year prior. Having clients choose us because of this really does make us do a happy dance!

Naomi and Ryan chose to have their wedding ceremony at the iconic City Hall in Brisbane. Steeped in grandeur and character, the Brisbane Room epitomises class and elegance. And that’s exactly what we provided to make this girl shine. Our flower wall created the perfect ceremony backdrop, teamed with our white carpet aisle runner and entrance podiums with floral toppers.

Their wedding reception at Customs House was held in The Long Room which features cathedral ceilings and sculptured pillars. Styling in this room needs to compliment the gorgeous surrounds and our tall table stands with floral toppers certainly made a statement. Standing 1 metre tall, the guest tables were adorned with more silk florals at the base and floating candles in glass holders. White Tiffany chairs and gold beaded glass charger plates were provided for each guest and dressed each place setting.

On the front stage, the wedding party had a backdrop featuring our two cherry blossom trees. These created a romantic and elegant arch for the Bride & Groom. These images captured by Evernew Studio capture the romance of this super sweet couple.
